1. Packing Cubes
Packing cubes have been a favourite of mine for at least a decade now. They help keep your clothes neatly organised, allowing you to separate outfits, swimwear and accessories into individual compartments. Not only does this make it easier to find what you’re looking for, but it also helps minimise creasing by preventing clothes from shifting around inside your suitcase.
2. Crease Release Spray
Nobody wants to spend precious holiday time ironing. I’ve actually only recently discovered crease release spray, but it’s quickly become one of my favourite household items! It’s a quick and easy solution for removing wrinkles from clothing without needing an iron or steamer. You simply spray the fabric, smooth it with your hands and allow it to dry naturally. It also smells like fresh laundry, so I recommend giving your clothes a quick spritz when you unpack to freshen everything up after travelling.

3. Portable Fabric Steamer
For linen dresses, tailored pieces and special occasion outfits, a portable fabric steamer is worth every inch of suitcase space, and even though the crease release spray is amazing, there are some items that need a little extra help. These compact devices quickly remove stubborn creases while being gentler on fabrics than traditional irons.
They’re ideal for destination weddings, cruises or any holiday where you want your clothes to look perfect, and are a much quicker and easier option than ironing.

4. Travel Laundry Bags
Separating worn clothes from clean ones can make a huge difference when living out of a suitcase. Travel laundry bags help keep everything organised while preventing odours and moisture from transferring onto fresh clothing, and it makes it easier to choose outfits when you know what you’ve already worn, and which outfits are yet to be enjoyed. I also love getting home and having all the dirty laundry ready to go, and anything clean is completely separate and ready to go back into my wardrobe.
5. Shoe Bags or Dust Bags
Storing footwear in individual dust bags keeps your outfits protected and prevents delicate fabrics from snagging. I can’t think of anything worse than the bottom of a shoe that’s walked around the city all day touching clothing and delicate fabrics that I’m still to wear. If you don’t have a shoe bag, a plastic bag for life is just as good at keeping dirty shoes away from your clothing items.

6. Travel Jewellery Organisers
Tangled necklaces and misplaced earrings are enough to frustrate anyone on a normal day, but with time pressures of holiday dinner reservations, a tangled necklace could ruin my evening! A travel jewellery organiser keeps everything secure and easy to access, with designated sections for rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I also use these at home too to keep everything neat and organised.

7. Mini Lint Rollers
A mini lint roller is one of those small items that can make a surprisingly big difference. Perfect for removing pet hair, fluff and dust from clothing, it’s especially useful for darker fabrics that tend to show every mark. I have a cat, so you won’t find me going anywhere without a lint roller.
A well-planned holiday wardrobe isn’t just about what you pack, it’s also about how you pack it. These simple additions will make packing easier and ensure you spend less time worrying about your clothes and more time enjoying your holiday.
Have an amazing vacation!
